The "Gymnázium Jiřího Gutha-Jarkovského" (in English, Lyceum of Jiří Guth-Jarkovský, or GJGJ for short) is a public high school located in Prague, Czech Republic. The school has a capacity of approximately 480 students in 16 classes, aged between 12 and 19 years old. GJGJ is part of the state education system and is included in the network of schools and educational institutions in the Czech Republic. The high school focuses on general education, with particular emphasis on language education, mathematics, natural sciences (such as physics, chemistry, biology, geography), and social sciences.
The school strongly supports student initiatives and activities outside of formal education, such as the student parliament, the student newspaper "GuthPress," the organization of debates with public and political figures on various topics, various competitions (mathematics and physics olympiads, history, languages, singing, art, literary writing, comics), regular weekly courses in computer science and programming, and long-term educational projects (such as ABAKU - the development of mathematical literacy). In this sense, the school has a strong interest in participating in this innovative project, based on the practice of theater and performing arts, to reflect on the important and current issue of climate change.
The school has a capacity of about 480 students in 16 classes, aged between 12 and 19 years. The high school employs around 70-80 people, including both teaching and non-teaching staff.
